Good video! Very clear and concise. I have a question: if the PDF that I wish to upload to my blogsite is an ebook that I wish to sell, is the process similar, with Paypal account interceding?

Yes Judith, it’s exactly the same. Good luck with selling your ebook…

Thank you very much for answering my inquiry, and thanks again for such clarification. I have another question that maybe you can clarify for me, one that I’ve, surprisingly, had a hard time getting a clear response to: Are WordPress blogsites automatically equipped with the proper software (FTP) to transfer documents (ie: ebook) from my site to possible buyers, or is it something I need to have installed somehow BEFORE embarking upon this venture? Any feedback here would be GREATLY appreciated, as I am such a computer novice, and have been self-teaching as I go! Thanks!!!

Yes Judith, your WordPress blog has built in ftp functionality. Once you have uploaded your ebook you would then copy the url it generates and provide this to your customer.
Thanks for your great question and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any more.
Best Regards

Thank you so much for taking the time! I have another question already. Since my last inquiry, I have come to find that my blog (a free-hosted, WordPress.com site) cannot be equipped with the plugins required to officially sell my digital “product”, so instead of switching over at this time, I decided to go the route of making my “story” accessible to anyone who wishes to download and read it, and then utilize the Paypal donation button for whoever may be so kind to help support the cause…I was only going to ask about 2 bucks, so it’s not alot to ask for, and also puts my work out there in the light of day. This seems to be the simplest route for a computer/blogging novice and artist type such as myself. I wanted to know if you had any feedback about this approach (you seem to have tons of experience) but my question is this: is WordPress.com (as opposed to the .org version) still equipped with the sufficient software to transfer documents as such? Please pardon my ignorance, but this is all brand new territory for me, which I have been little by little muddling through. Thanks again so much for your kindness, patience and generosity!

Judith, that’s an absolute pleasure. The Paypal donate button will work, but a Paypal add to cart button tends to convert better.
The ability to upload your ebook will be determined by its size. If it is just text you may be okay, but if there are any images it may be too big to upload. The free blogging services limit the space you have available for your blog.
You could try to upload it and see if you get a message that says the file is too big. If it is too big the alternatives are to reduce the size of the file, move to your own domain and hosting, or creating an Amazon kindle product (which you should consider anyway).

Thank you kind sir! I will try what you suggested, and I may be back in the near future with more food for thought…
